CONNOR RUSSO

Youth Champion

Flaming Star Festival 2016

Connor Russo is from Toronto, Canada and has loved Elvis from the very beginning. His first words were "Blue Shoes" and as a young boy, he loved Elvis like most boys love super heroes.

He began performing at the age of 4 and has won 14 Youth titles including 2 Championships at Flaming Star.

For Connor, there have always been 2 seasons - Elvis season and hockey season – but they now overlap. In addition to performing his Elvis tribute and playing Canada's greatest game, he loves to play guitar, drums and more recently bass.  He also has a YouTube channel – Connor’s Corner – in which he talks about all things hockey (and plays a little music).

Connor has a soft spot for Flaming Star.  He has performed at every Flaming Star Festival so far and loves its intimate environment.  He is looking forward to spending a great weekend with his Elvis family at Flaming Star once again this year.

JAMES GIBB

Gospel Champion

Flaming Star Festival 2014

Growing up in Harrow, Ontario, James got hooked on Elvis after watching the Elvis' Aloha Hawaii TV special. He began his tribute to Elvis in 2006 and has won many championships - 2014 Tweed Tribute to Elvis Festival Grand Champion, 2014 Flaming Star Festival Gospel Champion, 2012 King of Saginaw Champion and 2011 Collingwood Champion Pro Early Years to name just a few. His love for Elvis has provided the building blocks for one of the most accurate portrayals of the early Elvis.  James has to be one of the most knowledgeable Elvis trivia masters ever!
